There are some things to follow if you want your MBA admissions interview to be successful. While it does help to be prepared and have experience to draw from, if you're attitude is sarcastic during the interview, you probably won't move much further in the process. It's important to treat the day like a day on the job. It's like schmoozing with the big guns or potential clients who will in turn repay you with success. This is the time to let your dynamic self shine through all responses to the admissions panel.

Some business schools spout that the interview influences their decision by over 30 percent. The other areas of the interview are considered as well, but presenting yourself as a dynamic candidate, is almost more important. During the MBA admissions interview make sure you are confident and yourself. You don't want to seem over-excitable or extremely shy.

While some nervousness should be expected, it's vitally important that you remain relaxed, if only on the outside. Now make sure you don't go overboard. No nerves would probably be a sign of disinterest. It's also imperative that you don't become sarcastic in any way, shape or form, as you want to show the admissions panel that your assets are going to be important to their school. Respond with honesty and confidence while also showing that you are prepared.

Talk about ways your involvement could be of help to their program. Ask about faculty research and how it will impact the business world and even yourself. Don't be afraid to ask about the possible financial package, as it shows you're thinking ahead.

Do's:
* Be prepared with ideas as how you can better the school.
* Be honest and candid in your replies.

Don'ts:
* Sarcasm probably won't go over well.
* Relax your nerves, otherwise you won't be able talk.

It is extremely important to have your confidence shine through during your MBA admissions interview, as this is crucial to your success.
